"What YOU lookin' at??"

 

Here's a Pacific Ocean view south of LA.

The PGA is still out in California this week, which is where I took this shot just before hitting a six iron to 12 feet. This is the signature hole at Oak Canyon, up in the mountains southeast of LA.

 

Yes, Joshua Tree National Park is quite the place!!! I look forward to going back there.

Yeah, I'd love to go back too, and do it on horseback just like the movies, or more practically on mountain bikes with a support vehicle.

Here's another. We've got to go back and do an overnighter one of these years. I want to see the stars up there.

Watching Mike Weir at the Pebble Beach Pro Am in California today brought back fond memories of my own time on the west coast. As the temperature drops to minus 21 tonight, here's another picture from Laguna Beach to warm your heart.

Another shot, looking west, from our hike along the river. Both sides of the river in the national capital region are full of great trails and the Gatineau Park is literally a few hundred metres from this point. If you like to rollerblade, this is heaven in the summer. C'mon for a visit.

The past weekend was perfect for a long hike along the Quebec side of the Ottawa River. The constantly changing elevation provides for some great vantage points over the river. 

Just so we are clear where the top of the hill is, look where Rob is looking......up, waaaay up. A cautionary tale for visitors venturing out on their first walk in the woods with Rob. 

Breathing hard and resting after a tramp through the bush, and we didn't even climb "the hill."
